Casey O’Neal, PhD, LSSP, LSOTP

President

Dr. O’Neal provides assessments for adolescents and adults for both the prosecution/plaintiff and the defense including violence risk assessments, competency/fitness to proceed, psychosexual risk assessments, and mitigation assessments. As a psychologist, her loyalty is to the facts of the case and the assessment data and not to a particular party in a legal case, no matter which side seeks my services. In addition to being a psychologist, she is a Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider (LSOTP) with supervisor status and provides expert testimony in a variety of sex offense related matters.

Emily Dixon, PsyD, LSOTP

Vice President

Dr. Dixon has a B.A in Social Behavioral Sciences from Soka University of America in California, a M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University in California, a M.A. and Psy.D., in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in California. Dr. Dixon carries a specialty license to treat individuals who engage in sexually deviant behavior (LSOTP). Dr. Dixon enjoys rendering assessments and providing therapy. She completed her clinical training working with incarcerated individuals and maintains a private practice within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex area. Dr. Dixon enjoys volunteering and helping others, she has a desire to become more connected to her community.

Camden Hoeffner, LPC, LSOTP

Treasurer

Camden is licensed professional counselor and licensed sex offender treatment provider. She specializes in conducting assessments and therapeutic interventions with persons involved in the criminal justice system. Some of these specialties include sex offender rehabilitation, reintegration counseling, career coaching, and drug and alcohol rehabilitation. She has over 5 years of experience working in the criminal justice system in various capacities. Her aim is to make society a safer place by assisting individuals who have been involved with the criminal justice system.

Dr. Matthew Ferrara

Matthew Ferrara, PhD, LSOTP

Since 1985, Dr. Ferrara has been offering forensic psychological services in the State of Texas and throughout the United States.  Using the scientist-practitioner model, Dr. Ferrara has provided a variety of services to forensic clients including: assessment, treatment, program design, program implementation, interrogation, profiling, teaching, research, publication, and training. As the Chief of Counseling at the Texas Youth Commission, designed and implemented a variety of programs, most notably the Sex Offender Treatment Program, sex abuse trauma treatment program, group counseling program, and substance abuse treatment program. Dr. Ferrara then worked briefly as a unit psychologist at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division before being promoted to Chief Psychologist for the prison system. Dr. Ferrara’s duties included supervising mental health staff and maintaining standards for mental health services in more than 40 prisons throughout the State of Texas. Dr. Ferrara also supervised the Mentally Retarded Offender Program and the psychiatric hospital programs operated by the prison system. Dr. Ferrara designed and implemented the Sex Offender Treatment Program and the Program for Aggressive Mentally Ill Offenders (PAMIO). Since entering private practice, Dr. Ferrara has provided assessment and treatment services with adolescents and adults involved in the court system. Dr. Ferrara has worked in a variety of court settings – administrative, civil, family, CPS, and criminal. Dr. Ferrara has continued to develop programs for special needs individuals and violent offenders, most notably the Civil Commitment Program for Sexually Violent Predators and the Sexual Abuse Trauma Treatment Program. Dr. Ferrara has testified in court and deposition over 200 times. He routinely offers training for judges, attorneys, probation and parole officers, forensic interviewers, police, psychologists, and licensed sex offender treatment providers.
